Module 1 - Getting to Know Myself
To make good choices one must know oneself. M1 provides an insight into a student's personality, its focus and orientation to see how these reflect their current interests, values and can possibly open doors to future success. There are many intelligencies and everyone can excel in the field they fit in. To make the most of their opportunities, M1 provides learning strategies, remembering techniques such as mind mapping to make the process of learning more engaging, fun, and, what’s important, effective. Drawing on counsellors’ experiences in both countries, poor school results often lead to school truancy and even dropout. It’s crucial to break the patterns which make learning and studying a tedious job. Mastering learning strategies, setting short-term goals and credit themselves for success.
Module 2 - What Makes Me Tick
What do I need to be and keep motivated? Where does it come from - internal, external motivation, or both?
Be a manager of your time: time management strategies, e.g. Pomodoro, Eisenhower’s Matrix, daily routines, time savers, setting goals, values.
Legal rights and choices in case plans are amiss, personal responsibility for choices, career-buttons, eg. me-context, possibilities-limits, choices-coincidences, changes-stability, adjustment-resistance.
Module 3 - Feel The World
Inspired by the Shakespearean quote “The world is your oyster”, a wide range of experience is presented in M3: study, work, volunteer, internship, gap-year, active participation in the society. On a more practical side, M3 also prepares for vocational/adult life.
Preparing for interviews, writing applications, cover letters, CV. Focus on skills and characteristics which are crucial for workplaces, expectations and requirements sought after particular vacancies. demands from workplaces.
What is expected - good manners (punctuality, stamina, communication). Vocational Specialization in Norway and Off-the-job training in Czechia. Enrollment in a programme which, upon completion, allows students to continue in their terciary education.
Module 4 - Enrolled In Lifelong Learning
As the labour market is changing fast, students need to commit to lifelong learning to keep up with the world around them and make the most of the opportunities and challenges.
There are plenty of ways for further up-skilling presented by formal or non-formal education providers. Having a solid foundation of knowledge, strategies, skills, and competences, students can launch their careers. Further guidance is required on their presentation on social media (including professional sites like LinkedIn).
Encouraging and supporting their entrepreneurial mindset. Creating a career development plan based on personal SWOT analysis and mind mapping to make choices. M4 steers students towards self-management and responsibility over their lives to be active citizens.
